Lilies of Bay-yo*
November 11, 2008
Pale cheeks hint of red,
blushing during late mornings:
inflaming the mountainsides.
*Bay-yo (see photo at the Home Page header), is a village of Bontoc where the white mountain lilies still abound in profusion, marked by red and yellow pistils. Beautiful sight.
Tears on a Freefall

Apay ta nga men-aga ka?
Ma-id natey ay am-ammom,
Cha..tinai-nan na pet sik-a?
(Why are you crying?
Nobody you know has died,
Oh, did she leave you?)
Clouds Over Samoki*
November 10, 2008
Moist lips kiss my breasts,
waking passions by sunlight:
Late trysts, earth and sky.
*Samoki is a village opposite Bontoc, Mountain Province. This places is often shrouded in mists during early mornings, mingling with smoke from the hearths of its inhabitants as they cook their morning meal, or early lunch…whatever the case maybe.
